Description

Bigu Gompa, below Rolwaling Himal is a village hilly trek below 3500 meter altitude level and can experience local culture and excellent mountain view. It is one of the best place to explore though it is not that popular as Annapurna, which means a PERFECT place to be with local. It is normal average hilly area where you can see the local village daily life of hardworking people struggling to make a living with possible infrastructures. From the high view point, you see the whole range of east centre Himalaya including Rolwaling Himal which include Melungtse, 7181m and Melungse II, 7023m and Gauri Shanker 7134m and many other 6000 meter peaks.

Through the lush green forest, we go to Bigu Gompa which is very unique Buddhist monastery in this place and popular as nunnery institute which was established by Drukpa Rinboche in 1931. Around 1990s about 120 nuns decreased to 40 and grown to 300 nuns.

Through the high pass Tinsang la (3200m). Breathtaking view of Himalayas including Choba Bamara. The forest is covered by oak, wild bush and rhododendron.
