Giving Back

At the heart of our work is a deep-rooted commitment to our people, our environment, and the values we live by. As Sherpas by birth and Buddhists by faith, compassion (karuṇā), karma, and service to others are more than philosophies — they are the guiding principles of how we live and work.

Our involvement in community development, environmental protection, and professional tourism growth reflects our belief that true success comes from giving back.

Rooted in Local Community

Supporting Villages and Youth

We work closely with rural villages to help build sustainable futures — from trail building and infrastructure support to skill training programs that empower local people. Tree plantations, village clean-up campaigns, and awareness programs are part of our regular efforts to promote clean and resilient communities.

Empowering Women in Tourism

We are proud members of the Women Tourism Entrepreneurs Committee, where we support Nepali women through leadership exchange programs, skills development, and business training. Our aim is to create inclusive, empowering spaces for women in the tourism industry.

Sherpa Culture and Social Responsibility

As active board members of KYSS (Khumbu Yambu Sherpa Samaj), we dedicate time and resources to preserving Sherpa traditions, organizing cultural events, and supporting youth education and volunteerism. Our mission is to uplift the next generation while safeguarding our identity.

Partnering with KEEP

We support KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Education Project), a nonprofit dedicated to sustainable tourism and environmental education. Through donations and collaboration, we help raise awareness on eco-friendly travel and responsible trekking. Facebook.

Professionally Aligned for a Sustainable Future

As tourism professionals, we are proud members of Nepal’s leading associations that uphold the highest standards in mountain tourism, environmental protection, and community engagement.

TAAN – Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal

Established in 1978, TAAN is the umbrella body for trekking agencies across Nepal. Through TAAN, we:

  • Advocate for ethical and responsible trekking
  • Help protect Himalayan trails and ecosystems
  • Promote the welfare of guides, porters, and tourism workers
  • Collaborate with the government on sustainable tourism policies

NMA – Nepal Mountaineering Association

Founded in 1973, the NMA plays a key role in promoting mountaineering in Nepal. As proud members, we support its mission to:

  • Train and certify mountain guides and climbing teams
  • Build and maintain high-altitude trails and infrastructure
  • Protect mountain environments and indigenous cultures
  • Coordinate with the Nepal Tourism Board and Ministry of Tourism to ensure long-term sustainability

Our Philosophy

“For us, tourism is not just a business — it’s a way to serve. Through compassion, community, and connection to nature, we walk a path that uplifts others while preserving the mountains we call home.”
