LANGTANG ADVENTURE - 18 DAYS

On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your Hotel and briefed about your entire programme. We commence with sightseeing in Kathmandu. Relax and enjoy the mystical shrines and temples of this magialc city. The next day we take an interesting journey starting from The Bus Park to Syabru Bensi, 132 km alongside the river Trisuli, through the undulating landscape and local villages. This journey takes the whole day due to the narrow roads and spectacular lanscape.

Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. It is sandwiched between the main Himalaya ranges to the north and slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246m), dominates the valley to the north, Gang Chempo (6388m) and Naya Kangri (5846m) and Dorje Lhakpa (6966m) protect the east end of the valley. The area was designated as a Nepal’s first National park in 1971.

This high isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs. There are many lodges, providing rooms with en-suite facilities, hot showers, electricity and very good food. We trek until Kyangjin Gompa (3870m) and have an excellent view from Tsergo Ri (4984m). We trek to Thulo Syabru and on to Gosaikunda lake. We return via Chandan Bari, visit a cheese factory. Then on to Dunche to catch a bus/jeep to come back to Kathmandu.

After a day's rest, we drive to Chitwan National Park where we experience elephant safaris, canoe rides and jungle walks in search of a superb variety of wildlife including deer, crocodile, rhino and maybe Tiger.

Finally we drive to Pokhara. Explore the lake and relax. We then take a flight back to Kathmandu.
