NEPAL TIBET 10 DAYS

This is a journey for non-trekkers which begins in the Kathmandu valley with sightseeing in Hindu and Buddhist monuments, temples, the historical Malla dynasty museum and cultural villages of Kathmandu. We fly to Lhasa and visit the market of Barkhor and we explore the popular Potala palace, Norbulinka palace and other popular sights of the monasteries of Drepung. We return by driving in a bus/4WD landcruiser to Gyantse and Shitagse. We visit the Tashilungpo gompa and the next day we drive on to Xegar and to Rongbuk. We visit the Mt. Everest base camp to have a close view of Mt. Everest (8850m), stay for few hours to explore the region and return to Tingri and Zangmu, the last town in Tibet before reaching the Nepal-Tibet border. Early next morning we enter Nepal, where you will experience the vast difference between the landscape of Tibet and Nepal. After crossing the border we stay overnight in a hotel and continue next day to visit Bhaktapur City. Here we overnight in the local town with free time to explore. Next day we drive back to Kathmandu.
